On 8 November this year,at the 30th anniversary conference of the Latvian Pharmacists' Society (LPS) the LPS professional awards "Pharmacist of the Year 2024" were presented. This year's winner of this honourable award is BENU Aptieka pharmacist Annija Dvēselīte, who has been working at BENU Aptieka for ten years. In total, ten pharmacists have received this award this year.
Annija describes the feeling of receiving the award as a very pleasant surprise and encouragement: "I was very surprised to learn about the award, because I am very self-critical. I am very happy that the amazing pharmacists who work in science, clinical, oncology or industrial pharmacy are being recognised, as well as those who work every day in the pharmacy interacting with patients. I have always enjoyed talking to people, discussing and speaking out about our professionalism, knowledge and capabilities as pharmacists. So, I am very grateful for this award which allows me to work even more freely and confidently in what I do and love!"
