Annual participation in the Riga Marathon has become a favourite tradition for BENU Aptieka and Tamro staff. Every year the marathon team is getting bigger – this year 36 employees, including pharmacists, office workers, as well as logistics colleagues, took part in different distances of the marathon. Furthermore, all distances were represented – from the dynamic 6 km to the extremely challenging marathon distance, and also children's distances!
Anete Leimane, the office manager in Latvia, joined the BENU Aptieka-Tamro team for the third time this year and debuted at the 21 km or the half marathon distance for the first time at the Rimi Riga Marathon. "For me, being part of the BENU Aptieka-Tamro team at the Rimi Riga Marathon means much more than just a sporting challenge – it is an opportunity to be part of a united, motivating and supportive team. We not only run together, but also inspire each other to be more active, healthier and achieve more! Our team embodies the values that are also important in our everyday work, such as cooperation, positive attitude and desire to grow together. This gives me a sense of pride and extra motivation to overcome challenges both on and off the track!"
Anete wishes everyone who is considering participation in the race in the future not to be afraid and to give it a try, as taking part in the Rimi Riga Marathon gives not only physical satisfaction, but also a great charge of emotions and a sense of community. It doesn't matter if you are running for the first time or are an experienced participant, because the main thing is to keep moving, enjoy the process and discover what you are capable of.
